In any event N40million has been taken from the workplace of the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Bayelsa State Government House, Yenagoa, Mrs Ebizi Ndiomu-Brown.

Mysoundstorms accumulated that around seven police officers and agents of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) had been captured and confined at the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state police order.

The supposed burglary, which allegedly happened on Wednesday night, was found on Thursday morning with the sheltered where the money was kept apparently vandalized.

Office of the Deputy Chief of staff affirmed that the workplace where the cash was kept, which had two passageways, was burgled and the said sum stolen....

Government House sources said the two passageways to the safe were protected by police officers and many considered how the criminals approached the money.

They clarified that there was no chance the safe would have been altered without the information on the security officials in control.

It was likewise assembled that the request for the capture of the police officers on obligation at the hour of the burglary, was given by the State Commissioner of Police, Mr Uche Anozia.

As of now, criminologists from the Department of the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State Police Command are researching the occurrence.
